I’m a photographer based in Switzerland.
In 2025, I presented my first photography exhibition, “Lausanne in metallic colors” featuring a selection of my photographic work.
In my practice, I’ve consciously chosen to focus on portraiture. I’m interested in people — their individuality, character, gestures, expressions, and the genuine connection that happens during a photoshoot. I love photographing real people and creating portraits in which they can simply be themselves.

My name is Sofiia

Life is all about people, moments & emotions that we want to hold on to..

Photography is a way of capturing who we are at a particular moment in our lives. Preserving who we were, who we loved, where we travelled, and what surrounded us. So that one day, we can open an old album, look back, and for a moment, feel as though we are there again.

For me, a portrait begins with paying attention to the person in front of me. I notice their natural movements, gestures, and the moments when they begin to relax. These details help me capture something genuine — without imposing an image that doesn’t feel true to who they are.

"Lausanne in Metallic Colours" - Mission in Photography

May – June 2025 Lausanne, Switzerland In collaboration with IvAlive Foundation & l'École ART'itude Supported by Sanivaud Sàrl and AXOME

"I want to highlight something that matters deeply to me: the power of self-realisation for women who are immigrants or refugees. As a Ukrainian photographer living in Switzerland, my work is about the inner strength we all carry -no matter what life throws at us. Where there is true will, there are always opportunities. We are never alone."

"Lausanne in metallic colors" — With a Mission

This exhibition is more than photography — it's a project with a deeply human purpose.

All 12 photographs have been donated to the ivAlive Foundation, which provides vital support to children, young people and families — including Ukrainian refugees living in Switzerland. The exhibition has closed — but its story continues. Each work is available by donation, on a "price from the heart" model: you decide what each photograph is worth to you. Every purchase includes a Certificate of Authenticity. Each piece is one-of-a-kind — no editions, no reprints. Every act of giving is a direct gesture of compassion toward those who need warmth, safety and hope.
